International Shipping, Customs and Import Responsibility

International customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can be legally imported into their destination country or region. Before placing an order, customers should review all applicable local customs regulations, food import restrictions, documentation requirements and other import policies.

Where duties, taxes and customs charges are collected at checkout, these amounts will be shown as part of the order total. Where such charges are not collected at checkout, the recipient is responsible for paying any import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees or other charges imposed by local authorities or delivery carriers.

Calico Coffee will provide the standard commercial and export documentation required to dispatch the order from the United Kingdom. However, we are not responsible for obtaining destination-country import permits, completing declarations required from the recipient, or confirming that an order complies with the customer’s local import regulations.

We cannot accept responsibility for delays, additional charges, confiscation, refusal of entry or destruction of goods resulting from local customs procedures, import restrictions, incomplete recipient information or the customer’s failure to comply with applicable regulations.

If an order is refused, unclaimed or returned because the recipient does not pay applicable charges or comply with local import requirements, any original shipping costs, customs charges, duties and return fees may be deducted from the refund. Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched.
